Spotlight on Top Research Events

The International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF)

The International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) is sponsored by the Society for Science & Public and is the world's largest and highest-level youth science and technology competition for grades 9-12. Tens of thousands of students around the world participate in the competition every year. After preliminary screening, only about 1,800 students are finally qualified to participate in the International Science and Engineering Grand Prix held in May every year.

S.-T. Yau High School Science Award

The S.-T. Yau High School Science Award is a scientific innovation award for middle school students initiated by mathematics master Mr. Shing-tung Yau in 2008. It is hosted by Tsinghua University and hosted by the Yau Mathematical Science Center of Tsinghua University. The competition is open to middle school students around the world and advocates innovative thinking and Teamwork, abandon test papers and standard answers, and let students participate in the competition in the form of submitting research reports.

Regeneron Science Talent SearchRegeneron STS

Regeneron Science Talent SearchRegeneron STS The Regeneron Science Talent Award is the most prestigious science competition in the United States, providing high school students the opportunity to communicate their original research with a national jury of professional scientists. Most alumni have made extraordinary contributions to science and have received a large number of the world's most distinguished science and mathematics honors, including 12 Nobel Prizes, 11 National Medals of Science and medals in two fields.

Junior Science and Humanities Symposia

JSHS is a STEM academic program sponsored by the U.S. Army, Navy, and Air Force to promote original research and experimentation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) at the high school level and publicly recognize outstanding student achievements.JSHS aims to expand the pool of trained talent ready to conduct research and development of national importance.

Embark Prestigious STEM Competitions Training Process

  • We create tailored plans for students based on their interests, strengths, and future majors, recommending research directions and personalized training plans.

  • Students discuss topics online with their instructor before selection. Once agreed, the tutor designs a topic tailored to the student's interests and skills, and the Embark team reviews it for compliance with academic and competition standards.

  • We recommend online courses with recorded lessons and live Q&A sessions to enhance students' research skills and subject knowledge.

  • The subject tutor holds weekly one-on-one live research sessions, lasting 1-2 hours each, adjustable to the student's schedule.

  • Each student gets a dedicated course coordinator for customized study plans, tracking progress, assignments, paper writing, publication, submission, and post-class support.

  • Full contest guidance includes registration, materials preparation, and mock defenses, aimed at enhancing students' academic skills, logic, writing, reading, and public speaking.

FAQ

Q1:  I was a junior in high school at the time of application, but I will be in college by the time the final round is held in December, can I enter the S.-T. Yau High School Science Award?

A1: Yes, depending on whether you are a high school student at the time of registration.

Q2: I would like to register for the S.-T. Yau High School Science Award in two disciplines, is it possible?

A2: I would like to register for the S.-T. Yau High School Science Award in two disciplines, is it possible?

Q3:Can students who have worked with scientist mentors or college students enter Regeneron STS?

A3: Yes; these students are eligible to enter Regeneron STS, but in terms of judging, students should consider if the work is substantially their own. Judges understand that sometimes scientists cannot allow students to choose their own topic or sometimes the main part of a procedure is already known. Students should consider what portions of the research they can take credit for and if they believe it shows their potential as a scientist. Student researchers will also need to obtain permission from their mentors before submitting their research to Regeneron STS.

Q4: How do I determine the "start date" of my ISEF project?

A4: The project start date is the first day of experimental data collection. The literature review and study design can be conducted prior to this date.

Q5:Can I continue my research between the time I am selected for ISEF and the start of ISEF?

A5: Yes. The ISEF research time requirement is ≤ 12 months of active research within an 18-month period. If a student's research program is significantly modified or expanded, please ensure that the appropriate approvals are obtained prior to entering the new research phase.
