3. Award setting

There are 6 disciplines in the finals: 1 gold award, 1 silver award, 3 bronze awards and 5 winning awards

There is also one highest award: Gold Medal for Science

The timeline for this year's Mainland competition is roughly the same as last year's, with registration closing on July 31. The advantage is that the students have more time to consider the topic, the disadvantage is that the students who register late, the time to prepare the project will be more tense, easy to fall into the passive situation of too little preparation.

Instead of spending a month or two hesitating whether to participate in the competition and ultimately whether you can submit your work, wasting the current golden preparation period, it is better to take the initiative in your own hands!

Even for those who have no foundation in scientific research, it is time to start selecting topics and supplementing academic knowledge from scratch, start preparing for the competition as soon as possible, and leave enough time for polishing and simulated defense of subsequent works.

Yau Seng Tong Secondary School Science Award

The Yau Chengtong Science Award for Middle School Students is a scientific innovation award for middle school students initiated by Mr. Yau Chengtong, a master of mathematics, in 2008. It is also the only scientific research competition for Chinese middle school students around the world.

The Qiu Prize is a scientific competition with "scientific research papers" and "professional academic defense" as the main evaluation body, advocating innovative thinking and teamwork, abandoning test papers and standard answers, and submitting papers.

The Qiu Chengtong Middle School Science Award has developed from a single mathematics award to today's mathematics award, physics award, chemistry award, biology award, computer award and economic and financial modeling award, which plays a huge role in stimulating middle school students' interest in scientific research and cultivating innovation ability, which is also one of the reasons for the high international recognition of Qiu Prize.

Many of the students admitted by the TOP United States every year have the experience of high-gold international scientific research competitions, can win awards in the Qiu award field, and it is easier to become the "seed candidates" in the eyes of the Ivy League school.
